Spring is here, it’s Easter weekend and the trees and flowers are beginning to look beautiful! It’s around this time of year that I always start to look for ways to freshen up my own home a bit. Here are a few spring decoration ideas that can breathe a little life into your home as well:
1) Bring the outdoors inside! All the flowers are blooming and it’s a great time of year to use things from your own yard to brighten up your home! Use different colored flowers in various shaded vases to create a beautiful table display. Find a hanger for your front door and tuck real or faux flowers inside to make a welcoming display. You can also plant flowers on your front porch or display them creatively in things like rubber boots or old teacups. Or just use greenery if you want a little extra display of color but also want to leave those beautiful flowers in the ground!
2) Change out your front door décor to add a fun pop! I always find that changing out my front door décor really gives some life to both the exterior and the interior of my home! Add a beautiful spring wreath to your door or a bouquet of flowers hung upside down from your door (think tulips!). If you’ve been contemplating painting your front door in a new fun color, do it!
3) Add some fun to your table. Add a fun centerpiece to your table with spring candles, greenery, or flowers – real or faux. Or add a fun tablecloth or cloth napkins to really add in some color. While a little more costly, you can also find fun spring plates that can really add some life to your table – especially if you plan on hosting a dinner party anytime soon!
4) Pick one thing in your house and make it more fresh! We all get in decorating slumps sometimes. Pick one thing in your house that just kind of feels “stuck.” Maybe it’s a side table that you’re never quite sure what to do with it or maybe it’s corner of your bedroom that needs a little love. Whatever it is, tackle that and you’ll find that it may just make a big difference in your whole house!
